MorganΒ and Kyle’s spring wedding took place at Gale Mansion. One of my favorite highlights of their day was how they incorporated Kyle’s daughter in the first look by having her cover his eyes as Morgan walked down the staircase. For their ceremony in the Gale Mansion Ballroom, the beautiful bride walked down the aisle to Etta James’ “At Last.” The ceremony had a majestic background of the live musicians on stage with the Grand piano. This gorgeous Minneapolis mansion was built in 1912 and originally owned by Edward Chenery Gale and Sara Bell Pillsbury. The Gale family were leaders in the development of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and their passion for art, specifically European art, is visible throughout the design of their home. The mansion’s design was influenced by the Italian Renaissance Revival style. The French doors, an Italian garden, and unique architecture makes this mansion feel like a European getaway right here in the Twin Cities which is fitting for these Italian honeymooners. Gale Mansion is now a popular Minneapolis wedding venue and it’s not hard to see why so many couples like Morgan and Kyle choose this beautiful venue! The mansion has a large ballroom that can seat up to 190 guests, a Heritage room with beautiful hardwood floors and Oriental carpets which can be turned into an indoor ceremony site, a dining room with a marble fireplace, a stunning bridal suite on the east end of the mansion that has plenty of space for the bride and her ladies to get ready, a groom’s room located on theΒ west end of the mansion, a porch with five full-length arched windows that overlook Washburn Fair Oaks Park and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, a Great Hall with mahogany paneling that serves as an entryway, and the Founder’s Room with Flemish tapestries and screens original to the Gale Mansion. Throughout the mansion and on the grounds, there are so many fun places for photos! For Morgan and Kyle’s wedding party portraits, we event went nearby to Stone Arch Bridge for some great city skyline shots! Want to see more photos at Gale Mansion?
