Lindsey and Eric had their fall wedding at Harriet Island Pavilion in St. Paul, MN. When planning the wedding, they knew they didn’t want the traditional ballroom styled wedding. When they saw this Saint Paul wedding venue, the aesthetic of the river and the historic pavilion were exactly what they wanted. Since the couple wanted a high demand date, Eric camped out overnight in a tent to secure their wedding date. Before the ceremony, the wedding party got ready at the Saint Paul Hotel. That very same day, the Pittsburgh Penguin hockey players happened to be staying at the hotel. During portraits at the hotel, Eric got to get a photo with the Sidney Crosby! They usually don’t pose for photos, but Crosby made the exception since it was Eric’s wedding day (see the proof below)! Such a nice guy! On the wedding day, Lindsey wore a very special pearl necklace. When she was a baby, her parents stated to build a pearl necklace for her. Every year, Lindsey would receive a couple of pearls as gifts. Lindsey had forgotten about the necklace until her parents gave her the complete pearl necklace a few months before the wedding! Such a wonderful idea! For their indoor wedding reception, the couple had each table number represent a city or place the couple had been together. One particular spot probably tops their list of favorite destinations: the proposal spot! In June of 2016, Lindsey asked Eric to go hiking with her in Denver after she spent six months training an elite group of triathletes at the Olympic training facility in Fort Collins, CO. To her surprise, Eric gave her two hiking backpacks and two tickets to Denver for her birthday! While on their trip, she noticed that Eric was “obsessed” with his backpack- he brought it with him everywhere they want, including restaurants and gas stations! She thought the “mile high city” was getting to him or maybe he thought the backpack was really stylish. Well, the next day, the two went hiking for five hours. At the summit of the mountain, Lindsey was admiring the view while Eric was messing around with his backpack. He called out her name and when she turned around, Eric was down on one knee with the ring box in hand. And here are now, celebrating these two as they say “I do!” Thanks so much for letting me capture your big day, Lindsey and Eric! View the couple’s engagement session at Como Dockside here!
