Emilee and Travis first met eight years ago outside of a mutual friend’s house. After Emilee saw Travis, she turned to her friend Sarah and said, “I’m totally going to date him.” And here we are now, going through their wedding photos! For their Hope Glen Farm summer wedding, Emilee and Travis wanted their wedding to be unique from all the weddings they’ve seen. Their vision was “an earthy vibe” but with a classy twist. Since Emilee’s favorite plant are ferns, the couple decided to nix the typical wedding florals and use only ferns instead. They wanted their guests to feel like they were in the Oregon forests with ferns everywhere! The Cutting Garden did an amazing job creating all of the fern arrangements and decorating the pavilion. The couple also wanted to steer away from wedding cake and chose to have pies from Sara’s Tipsy Pies instead! However; one tradition they did want to keep was honoring their deceased loved ones. For her something old and something blue, Emilee wore a family heirloom ring that her grandmother gave her. Her bridal bouquet was also wrapped in one of her grandpa’s handkerchiefs with two charms that included pictures of the couple’s grandparents that were no longer here. To honor Emilee’s remaining grandfather, they gave him the role of “ring bearer.” It was an amazing idea that I absolutely loved seeing! Her grandfather carried the wooden ring box that Travis had made down the aisle. Such a special way to include him in the big day!
