Minneapolis Event Center, Minnesota Wedding Photographer

Congratulations, Andy and Steph! These two had an indoor church ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Hope, MN followed by an indoor wedding reception at one of my favorite Minneapolis wedding venues, the Minneapolis Event Center. Both Steph and Andy have an appreciation for engineering, architecture, and natural elements so they chose the event center because they loved the building’s original brick and wood elements mixed in with a modern design. These two met back in May of 2014 on Match.com. Steph had been on Match.com for about three months and was just about to cancel her subscription when she received an adorably witty message from Andy. They started to message back and forth for a couple of weeks and finally decided to set up their first date. They met at Jake O’Connor’s in Excelsior, MN for a few beers and then they went to Excelsior Brewing. Four hours later, they realized it was time to head home. They both left thinking it was the best first date either of them had ever been on. Jump ahead to June 27, 2015. After 13 months of dating, Andy and Steph went hiking around Minnehaha Falls followed by dinner at George and the Dragon. After dinner, they walked down to a bridge that overlooked Minnehaha Creek. Steph crossed to the other side of the bridge while Andy trailed behind, with the ring in his hand. When Steph turned around, Andy got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
