This pandemic certainly posed some challenges for Billy and Caitlin as they planned their wedding day. Since Caitlin’s family is part of the parish at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville, MN – it was an obvious choice for them to have their ceremony at this church that means so much to Caitlin’s family. As they looked for hotel venues near the church for their reception, they quickly fell in love with the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel and their wonderfully accommodating staff. They were both so happy and thankful to be able to include their close friends and family and celebrate with the church wedding, dinner, and dance party they had envisioned.
How They Met
Caitlin and Billy are both paramedics and they had worked at the same ambulance service but didn’t meet until their mutual friend and former classmate Victoria (who served as Billy’s “best woman” at the wedding) introduced them. With many similar interests, the same sense of humor, and enjoying each other’s company – whether they were cooking, trying something new, or just doing nothing – they both knew they had found the one.
The Proposal
When they had first started dating, one of their earlier dates was a trip to Duluth. They had such a special time that Billy knew he had to propose to Caitlin there one day. Last year, they went to Duluth and enjoyed a hike along the North Shore, dinner at JJ Astor, and a night walk along the canal parkway. At the lighthouse at the point, Billy popped the question and of course, Caitlin said yes!
