Twin Cities Professional Photographers Association (TCPPA) is an amazing group for professional photographers. They were founded in 1984, and have been supporting local photographers ever since! The main purpose of TCPPA is to educate their photography members in the craft of professional photography. Every month, national and local speakers present to TCPPA members on various topics to improve skills in lighting techniques, equipment operation, posing, composition, and graphic design. Their members are able to receive continuing education and connect to help each other grow. I joined the TCPPA board last year, and it has been such an honor to help this amazing association grow.
One of my favorite things about TCPPA is that they host photography seminars every month at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN. Last month, Kira Derryberry was our presenter! Kira is a portrait photographer from Tallahassee, FL. Her presentation covered creative lighting and how photographer can unlock their potential! It was such a great seminar, and I have enjoyed all of the TCPAA seminars that I’ve attended so far.
