Nellie and Doug’s wedding at The Gardens of Castle Rock was the definition of outdoor wedding goals. This Chicago couple both knew they wanted an outdoor wedding and loved the natural beauty of The Gardens of Castle Rock, as well as the privacy of the spacious Northfield, Minnesota wedding venue. Their ceremony site was in the Lath House, filled with café lights and hanging white Wisteria vines above the aisle. Their greenery details with white blooms perfectly contrasted their bolder wedding party attire of navy blue and soft orange. For the reception, We’ve Got It Covered wowed all by transforming the outdoor tent into an exquisite site with draping and chandeliers. After such a long time of isolation, Nellie and Doug were ecstatic to get their friends and family together to celebrate their day!
The Proposal...
Nellie and Doug met online and got engaged three years later on Christmas day! Doug had gotten into woodworking and designed a wooden jewelry box for Nellie’s Christmas gift. In front of Nellie’s family, he gave her the box. When she opened the box, “Will You Marry Me?” was engraved on the inside lid and the ring was inside.
