Adriana and Diego had a fun, vibrant summer wedding up in a Northern Minnesota city called Floodwood. This wedding was especially close to my heart because Adriana once worked with me in my studio as an administrative assistant and makeup artist for portrait clients. I was so happy to see her and Diego tie the knot, and honored to be the one capturing every detail.
The wedding palette was a joyful mix of blues, greens, oranges, and pinks. Each bridesmaid wore a different color, carrying bouquets of baby’s breath. Adriana stunned in her satin sweetheart ballgown with a bouquet filled with vibrant blooms. The sweetest “something blue” was their newborn daughter’s dress!
Church Ceremony
Adriana and Diego exchanged vows during a full mass wedding ceremony at St. Louis Catholic Church. Surrounded by family and friends, the setting was filled with love and tradition as these two began their next chapter. They also include a Lasso (or a lazo) unity ceremony, which is common amongst many Mexican and Latin American cultures, where a decorative cord or large rosary is placed around the couple’s shoulders in the shape of a figure eight to represent infinite love.
Party Time
Following the ceremony, guests gathered at The Event Center, a venue owned by the bride’s family. The venue’s welcoming atmosphere plus delicious food from Rich Cuisine made the reception feel like a big party. It was so much fun to see the room was decorated with a variety of vibrant candlesticks, flowers, vases, and linens in orange, pink, blue, green, and purple.
Adriana and Diego’s day was filled with love and every shade of happiness to start their forever!
