It was such an honor to witness my friends, Maddie and William’s big day at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis! Maddie is the owner and lead planner for Ask for the Moon Events and she is a very close wedding vendor friend of mine. The couple chose The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis as their venue because they loved the historic style of the building and it has a theater for the ceremony. It was perfect for their Old Hollywood themed wedding. Their guests were encouraged to dress like they were attending the Academy Awards and it was so much fun to see everyone’s gorgeous attire! The couple created movie posters with their engagement photos to display outside the theater where the ceremony was held. While guests waited for the ceremony to begin, a slideshow featuring photos of the couple throughout their relationship played. The slideshow had an overlay to look like old film negatives. All of their ceremony music were from movie scores including Out of Africa, Somewhere in Time, James Bond, and even Rocky! Then as guests got to pose for photos and walk the red carpet on the way into the wedding reception. One of the highlights was the couple’s grand entrance to the Star Wars song! Plus, they had food stations instead of a formal dinner! The macaroni cheese bar was so yummy! This wedding was such a blast! Thanks so much, Maddie and William, for letting me be apart of your day!
