Holy flower galore! Krista and Anthony wanted flowers everywhere and Camrose Hill Flowers definitely delivered! They decorated Calhoun Beach Club from top to bottom with an assortment of brightly colored florals, including the grand staircase. It was absolutely stunning! A special moment for their wedding is the beautiful bouquet the couple had made in memory of Krista’s mother. Anthony carried the bouquet in during the ceremony processional and placed it in a seat in the front row. The bouquet was also placed at a seat at the reception. Such a great way to remember a loved one and represent her presence on the wedding day! Another unique aspect of their wedding day is that they had traditional Samoan dances by Anthony’s family members to kick off the dance party. Krista and Anthony first met while Anthony was living in San Diego with two roommates, Nick and Clark. One day, Nick brought his girlfriend, Maggie, and her sister, Krista, over to hang out. Krista and Anthony talked while watching the Rose Bowl. She kept asking football questions and he answered all of her questions, realizing she was actually interested in the answers and not just making small talk. Anthony was intrigued by Krista’s Midwestern accent. Eventually, Nick, Maggie, and Krista left and Anthony figured he wouldn’t see her ever again. Well, as luck would have it, they all met up a few days later with more friends. By the end of the night, it was just Anthony, Nick, Maggie, and Krista. They went back to Maggie’s and watched movies and everyone crashed at her place. The next morning, Anthony woke up and Maggie and Krista were gone. He thought Krista may have headed back to Minnesota and that he didn’t even ask for her number. That’s when he realized he liked Krista. So, he found her on Facebook and messaged her asking why she had left without saying goodbye. Turns out, Maggie and Krista had gone to get coffee and would be back soon. Krista invited Anthony to join her, Maggie, and Nick for a day at Mission Beach on the boardwalk. By the end of the day, they exchanged numbers and said their goodbyes as Krista headed back to Minnesota. After that day, they talked every day and the rest is history! Thanks for letting me be a part of your wedding day, Krista and Anthony! I had so much fun! You would’ve never guessed how many kids were playing on this playground outside the frame while we shot some photos during the reception! Thanks to these kiddos, we were also able to achieve the awesome shot with Krista’s veil at the end!
