Minneapolis Wedding of Becca and Peter at the Canopy Hotel
In meeting Becca and Peter over Zoom for their initial wedding consultation about their Minneapolis wedding, I knew they had found their persons. They feed off each other’s laughter and joy in their time together. They both work in passion-driven lines of work and find comfort in being there for each other’s larger missions in life.
In 2019, Becca moved to Indianapolis, IN to be closer to her older sister. After a few months of being in the new city, Becca was introduced to Peter, a co-worker of Becca’s sister. After socializing with one another at various events, Peter and Becca serendipitously bumped into each other at a local music venue, and Peter asked Becca out on a date. They hit it off and the rest, as they say, is history!
Peter and Becca moved in together after about a year of dating during the COVID-19 pandemic. While in quarantine, Peter planned a romantic proposal in February 2021 that included vignettes of their favorite memories together as a couple, champagne, rose petals, and a promise to be one another’s partner for life – oh – and we can’t forget the gorgeous diamond ring! 😉
Because they were getting married in COVID times, they are jumped on the micro-wedding bandwagon! Although they originally planned for a larger event, they embraced the circumstances and did an immediate family-only ceremony. They wanted the day to be filled with love, family, celebration, and hygge. The motto of the day was “no frills, no fuss, just us”!
They relocated their wedding from Indianapolis, IN to Minneapolis, MN, and wanted to find a venue that was both, affordable and comfortable for our 12-person micro wedding. The Canopy by Hilton, in the Minneapolis Mill District, was just the place! With warm tones, cozy décor, and a Scandinavian flare, they were instantly in LOVE!
