Cara and Lewis had their fall wedding ceremony at Saint Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN and an indoor reception at Dellwood Country Club. Cara and Lewis got engaged on October 8th, 2015 while on a walk. Earlier in the day, Lewis had his nephews create a sign that read a special Bible verse to the couple: “We love because He first loved us.” The sign was hung on a tree and as they walked past, Cara went up to read the sign. When she turned around, Lewis was down on one knee! Of course, she said yes! Their burgundy and blush wedding had so many amazing details! From love letters the couple wrote to each other to an apple cider bar to dessert table to the gorgeous decor by Creative License, no part of the day was overlooked! Cara is well-known at family functions to initiate a grateful circle where everyone says something that they are thankful for. During her sister Amy’s toast at the reception, she had everyone take a moment to turn to the person next to them and talk to them. The best man’s toast was given by the groom’s best friend and he mentioned how Cara and Lewis first met. The best man and his fiance had introduced Cara and Lewis, knowing the two would be a match made in heaven. The day after Christmas, Cara and Lewis went on a date that lasted thirteen hours!
