Maid of honors, we know this pandemic has made planning your best friend’s bachelorette party a bit more difficult. Whether the bride-to-be’s party wishes now have to be downsized or if she’s always had a vision for a smaller, more intimate party with her squad, here are five unique bachelorette party ideas that the bride-to-be in your life will love!
1. Dress Up for Portraits
Getting dressed up and going for a night out on the town may not be in the cards right now thanks to the pandemic. Instead, dress up and have a professional photographer take photos of the group! It will be a fun way to capture the early stages of the night, and for the bride to have some fun photos with her squad!
2. Fitness Party
This idea is perfect for the bride who loves to workout – and to have a fun workout after quarantine! Find a local gym, dance studio, etc… who will offer a private group class! Don’t forget the matching tank tops and other fun workout accessories!
3. Head Up North
Rent a cabin on the lake, as well as a boat and enjoy some time outside! This is also a great idea for a combined bachelorette and bachelor party. Enjoy time on the water and then settle around a campfire for drinks and s’mores while sharing your favorite stories of the happy couple!
4. Creative Classes
Find a private cooking/baking or art class! Whether the group meets at a studio or if an instructor can come to one person’s home, this is such a fun option, especially for the brides who miss their Groupon girl nights! There are so many restaurants, bakeries, and art studios that offer these types of classes. A few places to start looking are Nikkolette’s Macarons macaron making class, Bubbly Vibes DIY palette painting parties, and Way Cool Cooking School themed cooking classes!

5. Host a Virtual Party
Getting the bride’s squad together for an in-person bachelorette party might not be an option right now. Talk to the bride about what she’s comfortable with and the best option may be to have two friends join the bride in-person while everyone else tunes in via video chat. Use Zoom, Google Meet, Facebook Rooms, or other video chatrooms to make this possible! You can create a signature cocktail in honor of the bride-to-be and encourage guests to make it before the video chat starts, plan some games that will be possible to do via technology, and make the bride feel all of the love from afar!
2020 is looking very different for bachelorette parties and weddings. There’s no way of knowing how things will be for 2021, but we hope these ideas will help maid of honors and wedding parties find a fun way to still make the bride-to-be feel special during this unpredictable year.
