Carrie and Stephen had their wedding at the Holiday Inn Lakeville. This couple met back in April of 2011 at a frat party. Stephen caught Carrie’s eye and they exchanged numbers. A few days after the party, Carrie texted Stephen and asked him if he wanted to hang out the next weekend. He agreed and at the last minute, Carrie was offered a pair of Sugarland tickets. So their first date was at the concert! In August of 2011, Stephen officially asked Carrie to be his girlfriend while they were at his family’s cabin on the paddle boat. Five years later, they went to Stephen’s family cabin and decided to go for an evening paddle boat ride. As they were heading back to shore, he pulled out the ring and this time, he asked Carrie to be his wife! When planning their wedding, they knew it made the most sense to have a hotel wedding since a lot of their guests were coming from out of town. They didn’t wantΒ their guests to worry about navigating around the Cities to different venues. They also wanted to make sure their guests could have a few drinks and not to worry about transportation! Carrie and Stephen wanted a big party instead of an elegant affair. As Carrie puts it, “I want there to be laughter, fun and imperfection!” Their wedding had candy bars instead of cake, a photo booth, and a DJ. The couple chose a bright purple for their wedding color to compliment their wedding’s fun, party atmosphere. “I am so unbelievably excited to have everyone we love and care about in one room, celebrating with us…I can’t wait to sit at the head table and look out over our guests and soak in that felling of love.” Their wedding was so much and I was honored to be a part of their big day!
