Back in 1984, Cindy and Mike met through a mutual friend. After college, they went their separate ways but stayed in touch over the years. Over thirty years later, they reunited at their mutual friends’ 25th wedding anniversary party. Cindy and Mike started dating again and they were ready to give their love story another a shot! When choosing a wedding venue, they both knew Cannon River Winery was the perfect place. In addition to the beautiful vineyard for the ceremony spot, the couple also has a special history with the venue. Back in the day, they had their first date harvesting grapes at Cannon River Winery. So what better place to say “I do” then where they had their very first date all those years ago? They couldn’t wait to show their family and friends the beautiful land and breathtaking views in the vineyard. One of the most important aspects of their day was including their children in the ceremony. Both Cindy and Mike have two kids from previous relationships. They worked with their officiant, Dr. Fred Baumer, to find special ways to include their four children into the ceremony. For their wedding, the couple wanted the day to be carefree and filled with romance! As Cindy puts it, “What a special gift we have been given to have found our one true love again.”
