Mandy and Alex celebrated their intimate micro wedding at the charming Sauntry Mansion in Stillwater, Minnesota. The couple chose this picturesque location because Alex grew up in the area, and both share a love for boat rides on the nearby St. Croix River. The proximity to downtown Stillwater allowed for stunning riverfront portraits after their ceremony.
Mandy and Alex envisioned a wedding day that was simple and filled with love, focusing on their closest family members. With only immediate family in attendance, they aimed for a relaxed and joyful atmosphere where everyone could celebrate together as one big family. The perfect way to unite everyone was through a delightful meal of delicious Italian cuisine from Guiseppe’s Italian Ristorante, creating a warm and memorable dining experience. The couple’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of personal touches, cherished moments, and family unity.
How They Met...
Mandy’s co-worker, who is also Alex’s sister-in-law, invited Mandy to listen to her husband’s band play at Broken Clock Brewery. Alex was there too and while Mandy was holding his newborn niece, he used the opportunity to chat with her. They hit it off pretty quickly, and the rest is history!
The Proposal...
In late December, Mandy and Alex went for a walk with their dog in downtown Saint Paul. It was snowing and when they walked by Mickey’s Diner, where the couple had their second day, Alex popped the question. “It was magical!” Mandy said.
