Mandy and Alex had an intimate micro wedding at Sauntry Mansion in Stillwater, Minnesota. Mandy and Alex were also looking forward to having their wedding in Stillwater because Alex grew up in the area and they both enjoy boat rides on the St. Croix River. When they discovered the Sauntry Mansion, they knew it was the perfect fit for their day, especially since the venue was close enough to downtown Stillwater for us to get portraits along the river after the ceremony!
While planning their wedding, Mandy and Alex agreed they wanted a simple, easy day full of love and with a focus on what they care about the most: family. With only their immediate families in attendance, they wanted their guests to enjoy themselves and celebrate becoming one big family. And of course, the best way for a family to bond is over delicious Italian food from Guiseppe’s Italian Ristorante!
How They Met...
Mandy’s co-worker, who is also Alex’s sister-in-law, invited Mandy to listen to her husband’s band play at Broken Clock Brewery. Alex was there too and while Mandy was holding his newborn niece, he used the opportunity to chat with her. They hit it off pretty quickly, and the rest is history!
The Proposal...
In late December, Mandy and Alex went for a walk with their dog in downtown Saint Paul. It was snowing and when they walked by Mickey’s Diner, where the couple had their second day, Alex popped the question. “It was magical!” Mandy said.
