Such an honor to have been invited by Leslie with Positively Charmed to photograph Mo and Bob’s joyful day as part of Positively Charmed’s two-hour micro wedding package! Mo and Bob first met online on a dating website and started chatting in December of 2018. In January of 2019, they met in person. Within a few months of meeting, Bob was humming the wedding march & knew Mo was the one! “She’s my queen! She completes the other half of my heart,” Bob said. So fast forward to their vacation in Canada. The day before heading home, Bob and Mo visited Calgary Tower. Bob had planned to propose on the trip, so he knew it was now or never! Mo asked him to stand by her for a photo and Bob asked, “Are you sure?” She replied, “Yes!” At that moment, Bob got down on one knee and said, “Mo, will you marry me?” And she said, “YES!”
When planning their wedding, Mo and Bob decided to have an intimate wedding at Semple Mansion, surrounded by their closest family and friends. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests went to Redstone American Grill in Minnetonka for a dinner. The pandemic presented challenges for wedding planning, but the couple didn’t want to postpone saying “I do!” Unfortunately, one of the hardest parts was that Mo’s family from Nigeria and the United Kingdom were unable to travel to the United States due to travel restrictions. To honor Mo’s heritage, some of her friends who attended the ceremony wore traditional African clothes! Once they are able to, Mo and Bob plan to go to Nigeria for a Yoruba, a traditional African wedding, so they can celebrate their marriage with more of their loved ones!
