Why should you do engagement photos?

Engagement photos are a great way to commemorate your relationship and show your style as a couple. They can also be a lot of fun! Engagement photos allow you to experiment with different looks and locations and get comfortable being in front of the camera ahead of your wedding day. Plus, they’re a great way to get to know your photographer before your big day. Engagement photos are a great way to capture this special time in your life and make for fabulous save-the-dates! They’ll give your guests a sneak peek of what’s to come on your big day, and they’ll be something you can look back on and cherish for years.

When is the best time to schedule your shoot?

When scheduling your engagement photo shoot, the best time is usually at least 6-12 months before your wedding date. This gives you plenty of time to save up for professional photos and also ensures that you’ll have enough time to include them on the wedding save-the-dates or invitations if you choose. One crucial factor to consider is the season. If you want your photos to feature blooming flowers or lush green foliage, spring or early summer may be the best time to schedule your session. Fall is also a popular choice for engagement photos, as the changing leaves create a beautiful backdrop. Or if you are a lover of snow, a winter wonderland might be the best season for you. But in general, no less than 6-12 months ahead of time is the sweet spot for getting great engagement photos unless you are not attached to a particular season or are not using your pictures on any stationery!

How to choose a photographer.

When choosing a photographer, you’ll want to make sure that you find someone whose style you love and who you feel comfortable with. Your photographer is someone who will be spending a lot of time with you on your big day, so you must connect with them on a personal level.

What to wear for your engagement photos?

Your engagement photos are a cherished keepsake to commemorate this special time in your life. The most important thing when selecting what to wear is to feel comfortable and confident. After all, you want your personality to shine through. If you’re unsure where to start, here are a few tips. First, consider the location of your shoot. If you’re going for a rustic vibe, opt for earthy tones and natural fabrics like linen or cotton. Secondly, dress for the season. Many couples will start with a formal outfit and change into a more casual look. Check out this link, I created an Amazon Idea List of a few color combinations to help you find a good combination. Whatever you choose, make sure it reflects who you are as a couple. And above all, have fun with it! These photos are meant to capture the joy and excitement of this special time in your lives.
