Why did you choose Abella Weddings and Events as your venue?

We chose the Abella Wedding and Events Farm as our venue because I always wanted a simple blank canvas, and I feel like the reception hall being all white helped with that. Me and Zack also loved the modern farmhouse, and I feel like that is exactly what Abella is. I also love that we get to get married outside and have the whole venue for our guests.

When and how did you get engaged?

Me and Zack were going up to Duluth and the north shore for my birthday to see the fall leaves. Some friends came with us, so I didn’t think anything of it. He kept saying how we were going to go to palisade head like I had always wanted. We got there and found a cool spot to take pictures. Then my friends said Zack and Kailee you should get a picture, and when everyone took out their phones I knew something was up. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him!

What did you do to make your wedding special and unique?

Our wedding was at an old but modern white barn at the Abella wedding venue. The farm is over 100 years old but the new barn was just built in 2019. I think it was the perfect place for Zack and me. He loves rustic country, and I love white and modern with a little rustic farmhouse. I pictured my wedding to be very simple and classic with a lot of small details. My flowers are very simple, with lots of greenery and white roses.
