Marj and Jake had a very intimate fall wedding at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, a historic church whose tall steeple Marj loves. The golden leaves and soft light set the perfect backdrop for couple and family portraits. For her wedding, Marj chose a sophisticated look with her black and gold patterned jacket paired with black slacks. Instead of a bouquet, Marj carried a single red rose down the aisle.
The ceremony was heartfelt and deeply meaningful. The priest reflected, “Grief brought you together, but what is keeping you together?” The answer shone through in every smile and shared glance as Marj and Jake expressed their calling to give to others and to be a channel for peace. This wedding was all about love, faith, and the joy of finding another partner in life’s later chapters. Both Marj and Jake have lived full, rich lives as Marj had been married for 60 years and Jake had been married for 54 years. Neither had intended to marry again, but they found love and companionship in each other.
This wedding was all about love, faith, and the joy of finding another partner in life’s later chapters. Marj and Jake’s love story serves as a beautiful reminder that we can find a deeply meaningful connection at any age.
