Planning a Minnesota wedding from out of state is no small feat! Angela and Kevin had Paige with Jenna Culley Events by their side every step of the way, making sure every detail came together beautifully.
When considering venues, Angela and Kevin chose The Saint Paul Hotel for its timeless, classic elegance, and it was the perfect backdrop for their day.
HOW THEY MET
Angela and Kevin’s story began in San Francisco in the summer of 2024. Angela had just graduated from business school and moved to the city for work. Within her very first week, she met Kevin. Talk about a great welcome to town!
Their first date was at a boba shop. There was just one tiny detail: Angela doesn’t actually like boba. She never mentioned it to Kevin before the date, and she went anyway. If that isn’t a sign she knew he was worth it, we don’t know what is!
THE PROPOSAL
Kevin knows the way to Angela’s heart: a really good steak. So in October 2025, he planned the perfect dinner at STK Steakhouse in San Francisco. After a delicious meal, dessert arrived with a sweet surprise. Written in chocolate on the plate were four little words: “Will you marry me?” Of course, she said yes!
“I love Angela’s kind and caring heart, and the warmth she brings to everyone around her.” – Kevin
DOWNTOWN ST. PAUL WEDDING PORTRAITS
One of my favorite parts about photographing at The Saint Paul Hotel is having downtown St. Paul right outside the door. From the garden outside the hotel to the Landmark Center across the street to the George Latimer Central Library a short walk away, it was a great way to get more variety in portraits. From the grand architecture to the pops of greenery in Rice Park, we got such a great mix of classic and timeless portraits. Downtown St. Paul truly has some of the most beautiful wedding portrait spots in the Twin Cities!
THE CEREMONY
Angela and Kevin said “I do” in an indoor ceremony in the hotel’s beautiful ballroom. Angela looked absolutely radiant walking down the aisle in her elegant Selby Rae gown from The Wedding Shoppe. Surrounded by their family and friends, they exchanged vows in a space that felt both grand and intimate.
THE RECEPTION
The reception was held right at the hotel, and the ballroom was simply gorgeous. Tables were set with silver-rimmed chargers, cream pillar candles in clear vases, and tall clear vases filled with greenery and cream blooms with pops of soft pink. Everything looked stunning against the ballroom’s light blue details and sparkling gold chandeliers.
And the cake! A tall, five-tier showstopper from 350 Degrees Bakery took center stage. It was as beautiful as it was delicious, and the perfect sweet touch for such an elegant celebration.
The newlyweds shared their first dance to “A Whole New World” from Disney’s animated Aladdin. It was romantic, a little nostalgic, and so perfectly them.
Then it was time to party! Angela and Kevin’s biggest hope was for their family and friends to enjoy delicious food, great drinks, and a dance floor that never emptied, and that’s exactly what happened. Instant Request DJ kept the 2000s pop hits coming, and guests of every age sang along and danced the night away. Mission accomplished!
“I love Kevin’s thoughtfulness, patience, and the steady way he makes me feel loved and supported.” – Angela
LOVE NOTE FROM THE COUPLE
