I cannot stop gushing over these two!!! I have known Teagan and Karsten for many years, and I am so overjoyed to have been a part of their wedding day!
Teagan and Karsten chose to celebrate their big day at Majestic Oaks Golf Club, drawn in by the all-in-one package of food, ceremony, and reception. Just as important, they found the venue genuinely accepting and excited about their non-traditional wedding venue.

THEIR LOVE STORY
Teagan and Karsten met back in 2021 in a business owners class. Fast forward to 2022 when they got engaged, though Karsten didn’t officially propose until December of 2025. And I had the complete honor of being involved in this special moment!
I was photographing their engagement session at Como Zoo Conservatory and asked them to tell me their original engagement story. Karsten used that very question as his opening, getting down on one knee with a beautiful jewelry box in hand. Their official proposal became the centerpiece of the engagement session, and I feel so lucky to have witnessed it firsthand.
As Teagan recalls, “I looked over, and he was kneeling down looking up at me with this loving sparkle in his eye.”
WHIMSIGOTH WEDDING MAGIC
Teagan always dreamt of a whimsigoth, romantic wedding. She and Karsten wove that theme into every corner of their wedding day, from the decor down to the entertainment.
The couple also broke from tradition with their timeline, opting for dinner before the ceremony. Guests could visit an apothecary station to make their own spell jars, get a reading from a tarot card reader, fun photo booth props, and more!
To complete their whimsical feel, the couple DIY’ed their own centerpieces of garden lanterns filled with moss, sticks, fairy lights, and gremlin figurines. Coordinating lanterns were also used for the bridesmaids to carry down the aisle.
THE CEREMONY
After dinner and toasts, Teagan and Karsten had a beautiful outdoor ceremony under the Willow trees. Teagan changed into a stunning black wedding dress and their whimsical vision continued with the bridesmaids carrying lanterns filled with black lights and a mushroom forest.
The couple opted for a unique unity ceremony with a crystal geode to symbolize the blending of two distinct individuals into a strong, beautiful partnership while celebrating their inner depths.
PARTY TIME
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests returned inside the golf club for a fun after-party filled with dancing and Teagan did a hula hoop dance performance. The evening was so much fun, and I loved that Teagan and Karsten created a beautiful, meaningful day that truly was unique to them and their love!
