Tabitha and Pat met during the summer of 2013 at the swimming pool of their townhomes! All of their neighbors were hanging out; there was volleyball and cannon ball contests. Tabitha caught Pat’s eye and he began trying to convince her to go out with him. He was very persistent- inviting her to Timberwolves games and numerous other events. They went to a few Bingo outings with mutual friends and started to get to know each other more. Finally, Tabitha gave in and went to a Twins game with Pat. Then it was a couple of dinners and then a round of golf. They would text and see each other at the pool. It wasn’t until the end of that summer after a few more outings that Tabitha thought maybe Pat was the real thing! By September 1st, they made it official! In February of 2016, the couple went to Walt Disney World. On Valentine’s Day, they went to Magic Kingdom Park. When they arrived at the park, they had a photographer take their photo in front of the castle. The photographer was trying to tell them how to pose but instead, Pat got down on one knee! With over a hundred people watching, he asked Tabitha to be his wife. She said yes! Since they got engaged in Disney World, the couple incorporated Disney into their wedding day! Tabitha had Disney castle stickers with “I Do” in Disney font on the bottom of her heels. Their wedding signs, cake topper, place cards, and card box all featured Mickey and Minnie Mouse. They also used the Disney font on their giant ceremony program board. It was so much fun to be a part of their winter wedding at the Golden Valley Country Club!
