This wedding was extra special since the bride is the sister of other Janine with Jeannine Marie Photography! It was so fun to see the day unfold. After getting engaged, Jessica and Zach knew right away that Three Rivers Parks: Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, MN was the perfect venue for them. They live nearby the park and have seen quite a few weddings there while walking around. When they called to secure a date, they knew it was a good sign when their ideal date was available. Their outdoor ceremony was on the patio, overlooking the lake. A little before the ceremony started, there was a thunderstorm and it was pouring. We decided to wait it out and after the storm passed, family and friends helped dry off the chairs just in time for the bride to walk down the aisle! The sky was sunny after that! Looking at the photos, you can’t even tell there was a storm!
Back in spring of 2013, Jessica and Zach first met at the Guthrie Theater during the opening night party for Primrose Path. Zach was an actor in the show, and Jessica worked as an usher for the theater. At the party, Jessica approached Zach and said, “You know, you’re the cutest actor in the show.” She then left to go dance with friends. A little later, Zach went over to Jessica and said, “You’re like really gorgeous. Can I have your number so I can take you on a date?” They had their first date a week later. Skip ahead to December of 2015. They went on a winter morning walk to revisit a few of their favorite spots in Minneapolis: Dunn Brothers where they had their first date; The Guthrie Theater; Gold Medal Park; Saint Anthony Main; and the Stone Arch Bridge. While walking across the bridge, Zach pointed out an informational sign on the bridge. This served as a distraction for Jessica. While she read the sign, Zach got out the ring box. When she turned around, Zach was on one knee. Of course, she said yes!
