For over fifteen years, Sarah with A Milestone Paper Co. has been wowing Twin Cities couples with unique, personal, and beautiful wedding stationery. She offers save the dates, invitation suites, and other wedding day paper goods. Due to the pandemic, A Milestone Paper Co is also currently offering Microwedding Stationery Packages for couples currently planning smaller weddings. I have had the honor of photographing a few styled shoots and real weddings with A Milestone Paper Co, and I am so happy to have Sarah featured on my blog today to chat about wedding stationery!

What’s your favorite color palette for stationery?

Sarah: For personal projects, I love moody, earthy colors: slate blue, copper, dark teal and gray. But truly, I get into most any color combination a couple chooses as long as I know it’s reflective of their vision and style.

What should couples typically include in their stationery suite for their wedding?

Sarah: Traditionally a suite has been composed of the invitation, a reply card, and a details card. Many couples are now using the option to reply online and include directions for how to do that on their details card so they don’t need a reply card. And then of course, there are fun extras like a pocket, a band, or a bow.

What has been a favorite Save the Date card that you designed?

Sarah: I’m a huge baseball fan so I loved creating baseball ticket Save the Dates for a couple getting married at Target Field.

What’s a fun paper good or embellishment that couples have added to their stationery?

Sarah: I love fun touches! I have created illustrations of couples’ pets we used to create custom cocktail napkins. Another favorite was for a couple getting married in Hollywood. We created a laser cut sleeve with Hollywood details and even a cut out of the couple for true personalization! Oh, and another fun one was a crossword puzzle with trivia about the couple that kept their guests busy as they waited for dinner.

What is your best tip for couples as they choose their wedding stationery?

Sarah: I believe the invitations should reflect your style and show hospitality to your guests by clearly laying out the important details (where to stay, where to park, things to enjoy) so your guests feel excited about being a part of your wedding day. Getting started with wedding stationery can be an overwhelming for many couples since there are a lot of details to consider in content, style, and budget. It’s important to choose a designer who gets your style and vision, and who brings peace of mind!
