I am so honored to welcome you all to The APT! This unique venue is an 850 square foot furnished studio apartment that can be rented for weddings, showers, birthdays, meetings, dinners, and so much more! Normally, The APT can hold up to forty guests, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, events can currently only host fifteen guests in the space. In the midst of the pandemic, this new Minneapolis event venue is a wonderful option for couples currently planning a micro wedding. That’s why we decided to put on a styled shoot.
Getting Ready
Todd with Woodland Events planned and organized the day as our vendor team set up The APT for a micro wedding! Thirty Story joined me behind the scenes to videograph the day, which began with a getting ready party for the bride and her two bridesmaids (fun fact: the models used to live in the same apartment building as The APT) with hair by TDT Beauty and makeup by Ziel Bridal.
Trendy Surrounding Area
The APT is located in Northeast Minneapolis, surrounded by restaurants, great shops, and everything else there is to love about urban life! The river is also just a short walk away, which is a great photo op for weddings!
Intimate Indoor Ceremony
The day was followed by an intimate ceremony (which Chris stepped in to officiate). Wilderland Floral designed vibrant and colorful floral arrangements of orange, pink, and yellow to compliment the bold pops of color throughout The APT’s decor. The beautiful floral included a boutonniere, bouquet, cake flowers, cocktail table centerpieces, two tall ceremony pieces, and a greenery wall.
Cocktail-Style Reception
Whitey’s Old Town Saloon provided delicious food and Sugar and Spice Sweetery created a cake topped with floral and bright pink and orange cupcakes.
A big thank you to Chris for letting me capture this amazing space! Wishing you the best of luck – it’s not easy to open a new venue during a pandemic, but I know people will love to utilize this event space! I can’t wait to return soon and photograph a real wedding here!
