We’re honoring St. Patrick’s Day with a styled shoot The Blaisdell in Minneapolis. This newly renovated Twin Cities venue is a blend of historical architecture and romance of the manor with modern choices in finishes and furnishings. They also just revealed a brand new ballroom! A few Twin Cities wedding vendors wanted to get together to show off the new renovations with a St. Patrick’s Day styled shoot to honor the heritage of the Emerald Isle. This shoot brings a modern edge to the ancestral nostalgia that so many of the region joyfully celebrate. Details include a nod to the history and traditions brought with the Irish immigrants that settled in the United States including colors of the Irish flag, Celtic knots and crosses, a horseshoe for good luck, and even a marriage certificate that belonged to one of our vendors, Positively Charmed‘s Leslie’s grandparents who “came across the pond” and were married in America. Ask for the Moon Events planned and organized this styled shoot. Decor and floral were arranged by Positively Charmed. Sweetheart table, chairs, and dinnerware were brought from Rudy’s Event Rentals. The Copper Hen Cakery + Kitchen designed a chocolate and buttercream cake with a lustrous understated brush of gold leaf. A fern and bright ranunculus was placed on top to complete the vision! PaperThick Ink designed stationery featuring Leslie’s grandparents’ names. Our bride model is wearing a dreamy and demure dressed named Terrell from the Modehaus You Are My Muse SS 2018 collection. The silk gown with bishop sleeves, flowing skirt, and timeless detail was the perfect wedding dress for this shoot! SM Hair + Makeup created a delicate and playful bridal look with a touch of spring pinks and oranges. Our groom is wearing a textured gray suit from Savvi Formalwear. These two models were the perfect pair, representing our second generation Irish newlyweds.
