Alyssa and Ryan are just two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! I am so happy to have spent one of the most beautiful days of fall with them at Bunker Hills Event Center , complete with perfect weather and gorgeous fall foliage. For their wedding day, Alyssa and Ryan chose a cobalt blue color scheme to contrast with copper details and the autumn leaves.
How They Met...
Alyssa and Ryan met while working in their careers helping children with autism. At a work party, they played video games together late into the night and by morning, they both realized they wanted to start dating. They quickly learned that despite a lot of opposites in their personalities, they balanced each other quite perfectly. In their differences, they also found many similarities like love for video games, TV shows, craft breweries, and adventure.
The Proposal...
One of their favorite hobbies together became hiking and climbing mountains all over the world – they even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa together! This leads to August of 2018. Alyssa and Ryan went for a hike in the mountains at Zion National Park in Utah. They climbed up to reach the peak of Lady Mountain and that’s where Ryan popped the question!
The Details...
Michele with Grand Designs helped them put the vision together for the reception hall with blue linens and draping paired with copper place mats, lanterns, terrariums, and mirrors. Ryan even created tree sculpture out of copper wire for the centerpieces! The couple also wanted to add something to symbolize their love for video games – especially since that’s what brought them together at first – so they had Toad and Yoshi cake toppers.
