Guthrie Theater Wedding, Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

Kristin and John had their wedding ceremony at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church followed by a reception at The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, MN! I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding at The Guthrie! Maddie with Ask for the Moon Events did an amazing job putting together their big day! When looking for a venue, the couple knew they wanted something different and unique. Since The Guthrie only does about ten weddings a year- it truly was a unique Minneapolis wedding venue! They loved that the Guthrie allowed them to do some pretty awesome things with the lighting! They projected city skylines on three walls of the reception room and giant snowflakes on the floor. Another unique part of their day was Rock With U, a fusion of a DJ and a band! The high energy and amazing dance floor lighting by Elegance Wedding Production LLC was so much fun! With a December wedding, Kristin had her fingers crossed for snow! Boy did she get lucky! Mother Nature was on our side and we got some fresh snow! Thank you two so much for letting me photograph your big day! It was so exciting for me to finally get to photograph a wedding at The Guthrie! These two lovebirds went to Europe in June of 2016 to attend the groom’s sister’s wedding. They went to London, Amsterdam, and Rome while they were in Europe. In Rome, John insisted that they should go to Villa Borghese– a garden/park area. He was looking for a certain part of the park, and Kristin noticed that he was acting sort of weird. They stopped in front of a fountain where he proposed. He had a photographer capture the moment!
