Rachel and Nick have been together for eleven years! They both love nature and exploring the outdoors together – they even got engaged while hiking in the Pinnacles National Park in California and they plan to do a national park tour for their honeymoon to get closer to accomplishing their goal to visit every national park in the United States.
To honor this passion, it only made sense for them to have an outdoor engagement session. We went to Hidden Falls Regional Park in Saint Paul – one of my favorite outdoor engagement session spots and truly one of Saint Paul’s most beautiful hidden gems! Sky, the couple’s Blue Merle dog, even joined us for the hike! It was the perfect day with a stunning glow and we got some great shots around the waterfall and along the Mississippi River. After, we strolled around the Centennial Garden at Como Park Zoo’s Marjorie McNeely Conservatory and got some great night shots outside the conservatory’s majestic crystal palace-styled glass building.
I can’t wait to photograph Rachel and Nick again in a few weeks for more outdoor fun at their Minnesota Landscape Arboretum wedding and tea-themed reception!
