Jennie and Patrick had their wedding ceremony at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN followed by a reception at Loring Social. They chose Mount Olivet for their ceremony because they both teach Sunday School there together and this is the same church where Jennie’s dad was baptized and confirmed. Her dad passed away when she was in college so it was very important to honor him at their wedding. What better way than to say “I do” at this church? So special! For the reception, they chose the Loring Social because they wanted a downtown venue for the reception. They loved the Chelsea Room because of the exposed brick and modern marble entry room. Patrick works for Union Pacific and volunteers on the 261 Steam Engine. They had their engagement session with the steam engine (that they only take out once a year)! To incorporate Patrick’s passion for trains, they decided to have some train themed decor at the wedding. Railroad lanterns were used for their centerpieces, they had vintage lanterns from the 1950’s-1960’s for their head table, train coloring books for the kiddos, and train props for the photo booth. Their save the dates even resembled a train ticket! View their engagement session with a steam engine here!
