Rachel and Nick’s small garden wedding with a tea reception at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum was a beautiful day with blue skies, green grass, gorgeous flowers, and a wonderful couple! From meeting while sledding with mutual friends to getting engaged while hiking the Pinnacles National Park in California to an engagement session at Hidden Falls State Park and Como Zoo’s Conservatory, a lot of Rachel and Nick’s love story takes place outside so it just made sense for them to have an outdoor venue. As Rachel and Nick put it, “We love every moment we can to surround, explore, and ground ourselves in nature’s beauty.” And if you couldn’t tell how much Rachel and Nick love the outdoors, they’ll be spending the next few weeks on a national park tour for their honeymoon!
The arboretum is one of Rachel and Nick’s favorite places to step into nature, so it was the perfect place to say “I do!” on their intimate day. Due to the pandemic, only the couple’s immediate families and closest friends attended the day. Since Rachel and Nick have been together for eleven years, they were all so happy and excited to celebrate! Their fur baby, Sky, a sweet Blue Merle dog, also joined in on the day! It was so much fun getting creative with these two for outdoor portraits in the arboretum’s numerous gardens, running down hills, and even in trees!
