Such an honor to have photographed Louis and Brittany’s spring wedding at Nicollet Island Pavilion. Louis’s sister Maddie is the owner and lead wedding planner of Ask for the Moon Events. She’s also a very dear friend of mine, and I had the privilege of photographing her wedding two years ago. It is such a huge compliment when family members of my past wedding couples ask me to capture their big days too!
For their wedding, Brittany and Louis decided to have an “under the stars” theme since they both love being outdoors and they got engaged while on a camping trip. The two were in Door County, Brittany’s favorite spot. After setting up their campsite, they decided to go for a bike ride to watch the sunset. They biked to a secluded area in the woods that overlooked the water. That’s where Louis got down on one knee. Brittany said yes, and she couldn’t believe Louis had pulled off this surprise without her figuring out what he was up to!
To set their starry night mood, they decided to bring the outdoors inside. Ignite Lighting and Entertainment created a beautiful night sky with blue and purple lights. The venue was filled with candles and greenery, as well as silver and purple decor. The night was absolutely perfect!
