It’s always a huge compliment when family members of my past couples ask me to photograph their own special occasions! In 2019, I photographed Justin and Kyle‘s wedding at Lafayette Country Club. Now Justin’s brother, Kyle, is getting married to Ahnika!
For their engagement session, we headed up north to Park Point in Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is a very special place for these two – after all, it’s where their relationship started! In fact, Kyle knew he wanted to marry Ahnika pretty quickly after meeting her. He credits her Danish accent, eyes that change colors, and free spirit for that quick realization. And Ahnika quickly fell in love with Kyle’s big hugs, his “uber nerd”, and that he always says yes- well, almost always!
In their five years together, they are just now getting their first professional portrait experience because Kyle was reluctant to be in front of the camera. But with Ahnika by his side, he was totally comfortable! It was so much fun exploring Park Point with these two! I just adore these shoreline shots along Lake Superior.
