What to Wear for Engagement Photos | Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

canoe, engagement, engagement photos, engagement outfits, engagement session inspirationAre you struggling to put together the perfect outfit for your Minnesota engagement photos? Help is here! As a Minneapolis engagement photographer, I have a few rules to help my couples decide what to wear for their engagement session. Before searching on Pinterest, consider these two questions: What will the weather be like on the day of your engagement portraits? Where do you want to go for your engagement session? Dress smart based on the answers to those two questions. You don’t want to wear a short dress and 6 inch heels if you want photos at Minnehaha Falls in February. You also don’t want to wear five layers and leather boots while walking around the Stone Arch Bridge in July. Choose your outfit’s style based on the weather and location. You also want to wear something comfortable! If those shoes hurt your feet, if those skinny jeans feel too tight, or that skirt seems too short- skip it! You want to be able to move around, have fun, and feel confident! So without further ado, here are the 5 basic rules to engagement outfits along with photo inspiration from real Twin Cities engagement sessions:

  1. Choose one formal outfit and one or two casual outfits.engagement photos, engagement outfits, engagement ideas, engagement photography, fall engagement photos, outfit inspirationcouple, fall colors, looking at each other, Jay Cooke State Park, fall colors, Minnesota fall, fall engagement session, Northern Minnesota engagement session, Duluth engagement session, Jeannine Marie Photography, Northern Minnesota engagement photographer, Duluth engagement photographer, Minnesota engagement photographer, Twin Cities engagement photographer, Duluth wedding photographer, Minnesota wedding photographer, fall engagement portraits, nature engagement portraits, outdoor engagement portraits
